Finally, I received my 4 bags of coffee beans from Square Mile Coffee in UK. Thank you to Roy for bringing it back from me & passed it to me last night after he had just landed a few hours before.

My coffee package. The postage costs £5.85 & delivery by next day.

Very nice packaging design with 1 valve design to release the CO2 as the coffee is freshly roasted & bagged the same day.

I love the taste descriptions from the roasters, very useful for the not-so-sensitive palate of mine. Also, I am reminded to brew the coffee within 1 month of roasting.

The 4 bags are all different. 1 espresso blend & 3 single origins. Now I can refresh my cupping experience with really good coffee.

I really love the details that Square Mile Coffee roastery have put into their packaging because it is very well-thought & creative.

For people who do not know, Square Mile Coffee was started by James Hoffman, 2007 WBC Champion, Arnette, World Tasting Champion & a very good roaster, & Stephen Morrisey, 2008 WBC Champion though he has left due to  his commitments as a WBC champion.

So I can expect coffees that come out from Square Mile Coffee must be very good. I can’t wait to try it till Saturday.

More details on the coffees:

1. Spring Espresso – £6.50

80% Del Obispo Huila Colombia (100% Caturra – Fully Washed) & 20% Fazenda Monte Alegre Minas Gerais, Brasil (Acaia, Bourbon, Catuai, Mundo Novo – Fully Washed)

Coffee Description: Black Cherry, Chocolate, Treacle & Butter, Toasted Nuts, Soft Clean Acidity, Light Creamy Body & Honey Sweet

2.  Kopabakagi Rusenyi, Karongi – £7.00

100% Red Bourbon, Washed & Screen Dried

Coffee Description: Very harmonious & approachable yet complex & interesting coffee from this Rwandan cooperative. A sweet, silky soft & creamy cup filled with baked apple & blackberry, plums & honey with pleasant floral notes in the nose & a chocolate finish.

3. Tegu AA Kirimukuyu – £7.75

SL-24 & SL-28 Varieties, Fully Washed

Coffee Description: A stunning coffee that exceeds expectations for what a classic Kenyan coffee could taste like! Huge, rich & ripe fruits in the cup – blackcurrants, blackberries, redcurrants & fresh blueberries tied together with a syrupy sweet body.

4. Colonia San Juan 8 Estrellas (Juan Ticona) – £7.50

Catuai & Caturra Semi Washed, Screen Dried

Coffee Description: The coffee from this family farm in Caranavi is incredibly sweet, with a notable caramel flavour. Rich & full in the mouth, the strong sweetness is reinforced by a soft acidity. The gentle chocolate, vanilla & toffee flavours make this an incredibly approachable coffee.

After reading the coffees’ description, are you tempted?

So how much it costs after all? It’s £34.60, equivalent to RM207.09 on my credit card transaction (the rate is roughly 5.985). Replace the delivery costs with international charges instead if you plan to order from Square Mile.

Actually, Square Mile has a 6 months subscription, where every month for 6 months they will send you a bag of 350g coffee from the latest preview of coffees. Guess what? It only costs £63.00 & that includes postage & packaging.

What are you waiting for? Order now & be suprised!
